Happy Diwali and Children's Day

Its been a hectic couple of months and i suspect it'll remain like that for next few months as well. There were these common wealth games in Delhi, Saru Massi's engagement, Dussehra (pics) and then Diwali that kept me really busy.
On one of the weekends, we just went around Delhi to see how prepared we are for the games. We had lunch at Andhra Bhawan and then while moms went around CP doing their Shopping, I, Munchi and Ashish went to see India Gate. It looked cool. We also wanted to give some practice to our dads on how to handle rowdy kids.

Saaru Massi got engaged on Oct 10, 2010. I really loved putting Mehandi on my hands and meeting everyone. I am now eagerly looking forward to the wedding in February.

Immediately after that, papa went off on a trip. Before going, he taught me how to video chat with him using Skype but unfortunately because of time difference, we could never actually chat while he was away. Maybe next time...

It was time to celebrate victory of truth over evil and play with some bows and arrows. Like last year, i didn't get a chance to see Ram lila this time but I saw some of it on TV. We also went to see Ravana's effigies being burnt but there was just too much rush there. When we came back, our apartment folks were trying to erect their own effigy. It was hilarious because they had no clue what they were doing. In any case, it was a nice experience.

Finally, it was time for Diwali. As usual, I went to dadiji's house. Good food, lights, fireworks, festivities, gifts... what else would a little girl want?

That's it for now. I have to go. Its Children's day today. Madhu Aunty was the first one to wish me in the morning and then Juhi aunty gave me chocolates. Happy Children's day everyone.

My first overseas vacation
